Duties of Officers: These can be found in detail on the web page titled "Meet the Officers".

Dues: All members' dues are payable January 1 of each year. Each member will pay $15 registration fee yearly to become an LRC member. The dues for family membership will be $20 per year to include spouse and children up to the age of 21. Dues for students (not included in a family membership) and retirees will be $10 per year. For those joining LRC after June 30, the dues will be one-half the amount shown above.

Scoring System: In general, points are awarded for a club runner's finishing position, participation, and hosting club runs.

Points are based on the overall finish at club runs with the number of points for the 1st place finisher equaling the total number of runners and each place below earning one point less. Example-- If there are 25 runners, 1st place receives 25 pts., 2nd place gets 24 pts., etc., down to 25th place receiving 1 pt. The host of the club run receives the same number of points as the 1st place finisher with a minimum of 25 points. If a host decides to run, his points are based on his running position. When there is a short race besides the main run, the overall position and points for the runners of the shorter distance will be considered after the main race runners.

To reward participation, runners will also receive 5 bonus points for their first club run of the year and one point is added each additional run they attend. Hosts also receive bonus points on top of their total number of runner points. Any runner who is injured or unable to run but shows up for a club run may receive bonus points if he/she wishes to assist the host of that particular run.

Male and Female Runner of the Year Awards and Age Group Trophies in 10-year increments will be awarded at the club picnic and business meeting held in September of each year to those runners who have attended a minimum of six club runs. Then a new year of accumulating points will begin again with the September run.

Club Runs: The first Saturday of each month will be set aside for a club run for members to run free of charge. Guests may run for a $2.00 fee. Occasionally, a conflict such as a holiday or scheduling of a popular area run may cause members to vote to change a club run date to the next available Saturday.

A maximum of $20 will be reimbursed to the hosts of a club run if they wish to be reimbursed. The hosts will then determine the run location and distance, provide water and other optional refreshments, and hopefully have restroom facilities available.

As far as hosting club runs, a member may host two club runs a year. Maximum number of hosts per run is two.

Perfect Attendance: An award for perfect attendance will be awarded to those members who have attended all 12 club runs; or if unable to run, they participated by assisting the club run hosts. These recipients are rewarded with a gift, plaque, or a free membership for the upcoming year, depending on the decision of the officers.

Birthdays: A runner's birthdate as of January 1 will determine their age category for the year.

Clock: A large digital clock may be rented for a fee of $50 to non-members for local runs. No fee is required for members to rent the clock. The president will delegate the handling of each individual rental, including training. All club equipment that is borrowed must be returned within 48 hours to the president or other club officer. Transportation arrangements should be understood prior to rental.
